I am completeley pro-android, I wish I could take all the android devices that I have had or played with and mash them all up into one super android device. Instead I went with the Xoom 4g LTE running the Honeycomb version during the black friday sale event for $199.00. Basically the same, right?
As for the reason I have chosen the Xoom; the case of the Xoom feels better in my hand than any other tablet. It’s perfect — not too thick (like the Toshiba Thrive), not too thin (like the Samsung Galaxy), and it has a great feeling to the outer casing. With this tablet, you don’t ever feel like it’s going to slip out of your hands.
It didn't come jam-packed with useless apps that usually accompany the android devices I have had. I can easily design websites with the size. However, since all websites that use a mobile site still show as mobile, I had to change the uastring from android to desktop in order to view the main site.
One of the only pitfalls I have noticed is the small exterior volume control buttons. I have thick fingers, which makes it very difficult for me to change the volume on the device.
The battery life will give you an entire day of use but any more than that your pushing your luck.
All in all it is a near perfect tablet device. I think that when Google releases the Ice Cream Sandwich platform to this device(its on the list, I checked) it will push this device into a superior light. It is a great work horse.
